Medical & Fitness Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer carefully before utilizing any tools, formulas, or instructional content provided on HealthWool.

Important Notice

The content, calculators, and estimations provided on HealthWool are intended strictly for educational, informational, and recreational purposes. They do not constitute medical, clinical, dietary, or professional fitness advice.

1. No Medical or Healthcare Relationship

Nothing contained on this website is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical injury, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorder, or other medical condition. You should never use the calculations on this site (including BMI, BMR, TDEE, or Macronutrient distributions) as a substitute for individualized clinical advice from a physician, licensed dietitian, physical therapist, or other qualified healthcare provider.

2. Inherent Limitations of Calculations & Estimates

All calculators on HealthWool operate on generalized mathematical formulas and population-level scientific models (such as the Epley formula for 1RM, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for basal metabolism, or the RTS Rate of Perceived Exertion tables). Individual biological factors—including genetics, muscle fiber distribution, body fat percentage, skeletal structure, hydration, sleep, stress, training history, and endocrine health—will cause actual individual values to deviate significantly from statistical averages.

Specifically:

  • One-Rep Max (1RM) and Rep Maxes: Formulas become progressively less accurate as repetitions exceed 5 to 10 reps. Lifting maximum loads carries acute injury risk. Always utilize proper safety pins, spotters, and appropriate form.
  • Body Mass Index (BMI): BMI relies purely on height and weight. It does not measure body composition or distinguish between lean skeletal muscle mass and adipose tissue. Well-muscled athletes often register as "overweight" or "obese" under standard BMI classifications.
  • Energy Expenditure (BMR & TDEE): Calorie targets are approximations. Metabolic adaptation, non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT), and digestive efficiency vary widely between individuals.

3. Physical Risk & Assumption of Responsibility

Strength training, weightlifting, distance running, and aggressive nutritional deficits carry inherent physical risks, including but not limited to musculoskeletal strains, ligament tears, cardiovascular stress, dehydration, and chronic fatigue. By utilizing these calculators and applying any suggested training weights, paces, or calorie targets, you voluntarily assume all associated risks.

Always seek clearance from a medical doctor before beginning a new exercise regimen, significantly increasing training intensity, or undergoing rapid dietary adjustments.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall HealthWool, its creators, authors, or contributors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of the tools, guides, or informational materials on this platform.
